As most of you know, one month ago on 17 Jan 2010 we had a baby girl! 🙂 Her name is Aliza (Ah-leza) Rebekah, she was born at 6:51 am (an almost 11 hour labor, 9 minutes short of it). She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 21 in long. This past month having her in our lives has been amazing and streching. God is teaching us so much through her it’s unbelievable. I am seeing God’s love for me in a more magnified way, now that I have a child. Aliza shows us daily the beauty in life and the purity in it. During difficult times of sleepless nights we have relied on God’s strength. And prayer without a doubt works. God is so good. And even on some days after only 3 hours of sleep, I couldn’t be any more happier and blessed. God’s provision is good.
Aliza is healthy and happy. On Tuesday for her 1 month appt she weghed in at 9 lbs 4 oz. and 22 in. long. She loves eating! I call her my athlete in the making. Amongst eating she also enjoys sitting on our laps, playing on her play mat gym, sitting in her bouncer, listening to music and being sung to, smiling, and frowning. She brings many smiles and laughter in our day. We are very blessed.
I am also doing well. Recovering nicely. I still sometimes find it hard to take it easy. Having my mom here for two weeks helped alot. I miss her greatly. She’s been gone 4 days. She was so encouraging to me and supporting. Mom’s are great. Expecailly my mom.
Chris is great. He loves Aliza so much and they have a wonderful father/daughter bond. She loves his singing the most. He makes up the best songs.
Our dog Nuka is holding up. Sometimes I feel guilty that we don’t spend as much time with her as we used to. She is such a good dog. She loves Aliza as well, and we have to tell her no kissing baby on the hands and face. I can’t wait until spring, so we can all take walks together. Nuka will really like that.
Well, for now, I must go nap. Baby’s sleeping, and when baby sleeps mama should also sleep.
