Family Ties

First off, I want to send a shout out to my mom. Happy birthday mom! I am really glad you were born and later on became my mom. 🙂 I have learned alot about true giving from you. Thanks ma! Best wishes for you always. Mwahhha!

This past couple of months have def.  been family oriented. My brother Belarmino D. (Dave, David) , 17 stayed with us for 1 1/2 month and my mom visited for 12 days. At first it seemed a little overwhelming…probably because I was still very tired when Dave first got here. Now that they’re back in Virginia, I must say, I miss them. Family is good. And important. And I didn’t realize until now, how much I missed that unity. I don’t get to see my family that often. I hadn’t seen my mom in a year! It dawned on me when they were here that I haven’t seen my dad in over a year, and unless he visits in January, it will be two years before I see him! Craziness. I think often times people take for granted having their family close by. Well, I know I sure appreciate mine more now.

Family Fun

Speaking of families, Kris and I have started talking baby stuff, which makes me really excited. 🙂 We started a baby registry at Target yesterday. It was sooo fun to get that scanner and scan stuff. 🙂 I realized yesterday how responsible parents we’ll be. Because the items we were looking at and scanning are safety locks, and bottles, sanitizers, organizers. Nothing cutesy, except, this rear view mirror thing for the car, with a teddy bear on it. 🙂 We’ll go back and scan some more.

We have been talking about painting and decorating the baby area (this little nook upstairs near our bedroom). 🙂 I am really excited and getting my creativity flowing. 🙂 Good stuff.

My energy has also been rising. 🙂 Today hubby and I did some house cleaning and organizing. I love cleaning together! I haven’t been needing the naps as much and my taste buds are getting there. Lots of good stuff is happening. Praise God for His awesomeness!

I miss you too honey. I miss the unity of our family. I will be there in January or early February even if your brother David can’t go. Can’t wait to see my new grandbaby. Talk to you later. Love Ma

Yay for baby registries! When you go back to add stuff, though, do the rest of us girls a favor and scan SOME cute stuff! We’ll buy safety locks and bottles, but it’s so much more fun to buy cute baby stuff too! 😉
